Introduction

The Mental Health Journey can often feel like we are trying to find our way in complete darkness, without a compass. A good Therapist can act as a guide, providing a flashlight, and a companion. This way, you don’t have to make the journey alone. Julia Cruz has more than 8 years of experience providing mental health services to rural communities. Julia understands the unique mental health needs of small towns. Julia obtained both her BS and MA in Psychology at West Texas A&M University, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and is a member of the Phi Gamma Mu honors society. Julia's education gives her a unique perspective of the mind/body connection. Julia takes a holistic look at Mental Health treatment, with a focus on the relationship of both our physical and mental wellbeing. Julia provides a trauma-focused approach to mental health, helping clients to find healing and peace from the events that may have altered the course of their lives. Trauma has a way of affecting all aspects of both physical and mental health. Learning the skills to manage trauma can not only provide relief for a number of mental health disorders, it can also have positive impacts on our physical wellbeing. Julia is also a 200h Yoga Instructor. This allows her to blend both Mental Health skills, and mindfulness practices, to tailor treatment unique to each client. If you are ready to take the steps to take control of your health, feel free to reach out for a consultation today!
